Once again this year, I was overwhelmed at all the support we received from everyone to help make this year’s Family Fest and Carnival a huge success.

I would like to start out by thanking the committee who began planning the event back in January. They are John Hann Jr., Len and Jan Kazmierczak, Loretta Barnes, Dennis and Kathy Newman, Gladys Jaworski, Hank and Julie Dahlman, Marie Kjer, Vi Bosworth, Nancy Ocampo, Peter and Helen Peregrym, John Hann Sr., and Nick and Pat Morgan. A special thanks to: Glen Harvey, Tom Forrest, and Ed Brennan for making sure everything in the tent was working properly. Matt and Mike Harvey for all their help. Mike Latocha, who handed out over 100 posters to local businesses to display, you saved my sore foot lots of steps Mike. Chuckles the Clown who made many children and adults smile with her face painting talent. The internet committee, who as always does a great job updating the family fest link on our website.

To all those people who volunteered in the Bingo Hall, Ride Booths, Office, Accounting Room, Jar Game Booths, Raffle and Entertainment Tent a big thank you to each and every one of you. To all of you who supported our Family Fest and Carnival by coming here instead of going elsewhere for some family fun, thank you. It means a lot to us that you would think of coming here and spending your money in these tough times to support our Parish. To our sponsors, food vendors, and business expo participants thank you. The people who own these businesses believe in St. Fabian Parish. I ask that you show your appreciation by supporting them with your business. They are listed below (please follow the link).

I would like to send a very special Thank You to John and Fran Stenson. Back in February I had reconstructive surgery on my foot. It would have been almost impossible for me to get around by walking. When John and Fran heard that I needed to have a scooter to get around, they let me borrow one they had. It sure made life easier and less painful. Thank you again John and Fran.

Last but not least I would like to thank my wife Judy for all her support especially this year. She not only helps me behind the scenes but also during the Family Fest.

I know I speak for the entire committee when I say if there were better words to use than Thank You, I would say them. So again I will say Thank you one and all. We couldn’t do it without you.

So now we begin planning for next year’s Family Fest. Our 28th Annual Family Fest and Carnival will take place on our Parish grounds from June 9th through the 13th, 2010.
